PPC Specialist


The PPC Specialist is in charge of developing and executing digital marketing strategies, under very minimal guidance, across one or more of Launch That projects. This position is expected to work independently to execute innovative marketing measures.

PPC Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating quality leads within a target CPL and budget
  • Ensures project is on track to meet lead and budget goals
  • Assists in developing PPC strategy
  • Executes PPC campaigns (Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, Display, Print)
  • Execution of PPC strategy for:
    • Keyword expansion, management, and bidding
    • Ad copy creation and testing
    • Asset creation and testing
    • Landing page creation and A/B testing
    • Advanced PPC optimizations
  • Executes strategy for traditional marketing campaigns (Print)
  •  Provides recommendations for PPC optimizations and is able to implement these ideas with minimal oversight from management
  • Ability to recognize anomalies in account performance and lead management systems and develop recommendations for improvements
  • Conducts keyword and competitive research
  • Responsible for Daily, Weekly, and Monthly PPC performance reports (shared with the Marketing Manager and Sr. Marketing Director)
  • Analyzes performance including traffic, leads, and conversions to optimize every aspect of the cycle.

  • Work is pushed live upon completion; work may be reviewed periodically by Marketing Manager and/or senior level team member to ensure the expected quality of work is being maintained
  • May be assigned by Marketing Manager to QC the work of a level I or II DMS

Team Impact

  • Collaborating with the marketing, content, and development/design leads (along with the teams themselves) to achieve collective project goals 
  • Communicating findings and key results with other members of the project team (including managers and other executives) 
  • Working directly with the project management team to set up tasks (via ticketing system); factoring in timing, parties involved, execution and post-launch reporting

Key Relationships

  • The Digital Marketing Specialist III reports to the Marketing Manager of one or more projects within Launch That. This position frequently interacts with other department leads, and their respective teams, on the project level. Interaction between this position and other marketers/discipline leads, at the company level, is strongly encouraged. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Four-year degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Passion for digital marketing and to want to get better and learn more every day
  • Ability to self-manage, take point on impactful interdisciplinary initiatives and execute tasks to completion (including post-launch reporting) 
  • High-level HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Proficient in Salesforce 
  • Proficient in G Suite
  • Moderate level in Google Analytics, Excel  
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Help direct and participate in sprints and/or other major collaborative projects
  • Ability to measure strategy effectiveness (changes to rankings, traffic, conversions) and make decisions based on that data
  • Responsible for ROI reports with business insights
  • Extremely comfortable working with the content team, designers or web developers -- understands that the best work happens outside of discipline silos 
  • At least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in paid (PPC) marketing
  • Responsible for complex PPC tasks
  • Develops strategy and implements recommendations for PPC
