Human Resources Intern Summary

Launch That is seeking a Human Resources Intern to assist with a variety of duties for Launch That and its sister company Lunar. Duties include the areas of: personnel, recruiting, HRIS, onboarding and offboarding. This is an opportunity to gain training real-world experience in the daily and weekly jobs of HR and recruiting. This internship pays $12.50 per hour and has a defined end-point based on candidate school/work and company needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Organize and maintain our internal HRIS (BambooHR), with a variety of specific tasks and ongoing projects
  • Source qualified job candidates for both Launch That and Lunar and build out a database of digital talent using tools such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed
  • Ensure proper documentation for each employee in BambooHR and proactively audits
  • Assist in creating and maintaining job descriptions
  • Assist with internal onboarding websites and materials for Lunar and Launch That
  • Assist with E-Verify and sending out internal documentation to new hires (such as policies, NDAs, etc)
  • Schedule phone and onsite interviews on behalf of Launch That and Lunar
  • Assist with onsite activities related to candidate interviews: greeting, touring, facilitating, etc.
  • Offboarding assistance will include updating our HRIS system, addressing internal benefits system, and coordinating with IT
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, promotional events, and meetups on behalf of Launch That and Lunar
  • Assist with employment-related branding social media responsibilities such as creating content, infographics, and posts on behalf of Launch That and/or Lunar
  • Other duties or projects, as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or nearly completed
  • Personal and professional references
  • Ability to communicate your passion for people, for fostering a culture of excellence
  • A desire for a career in human resources (personnel management, training and development or recruiting)
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to be responsive and adaptive in an ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including in emails and instant messaging
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and preferably G-Suite
