Account Executive

Lunar creates SaaS products and supports consulting services that solve problems through technology. As a Salesforce Partner, our consultants leverage expertise in Salesforce, Ticketmaster integration, sales and marketing automation, and application development.

Account Executive Summary

The Account Executive will primarily sell Lunar’s consulting services. This role will focus heavily on consulting sales strategy including, but not limited to, locating opportunities, closing leads, and expressing value. This person is outgoing, creative, collaborative, and a closer.

We are looking for a sales professional that deeply understands technology and software. They will work with prospects and clients to identify opportunities to use Salesforce-based solutions to solve problems, implement efficient business processes, and achieve client objectives. Alongside our expert consulting team, they will analyze the opportunity and design a solution that fits prospect or client needs. They will deliver the solution as a proposal and adequately explain the ROI of the recommended solution.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage accounts, including account planning and sales forecasting
  • Sell consulting services and SaaS-based software solutions
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Account Executives to deliver the utmost value to the client
  • Develop an understanding of customers’ business and solution requirements
  • Source qualified opportunities through outbound sales techniques and collaboration with Sales Development Representatives
  • Manage lead qualification and conversion from interested prospects
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Create proposals
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Attend and participate in industry events
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and recommend new ways to increase sales
  • Maintain deep, positive, long-term relationships with clients that result in referrals and continued growth in the business relationship
  • Some travel, as required, to prospects, customers or marketing events
  • Leverage our internal technical staff to develop powerful proposals
  • Maintain high activity levels including client calls, meetings, and networking events

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in outside sales, preferably selling technology-based Consulting Services
  • Track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Trained in consultative sales and solution engineering
  • Experience using technology products and solutions to solve business problems
  • Ability to describe and demonstrate a technical product to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to sell to C-Level and across both IT and business units
  • Ability to sell both an application and deployment of a platform
  • Ability to articulate a clear, concise value statement
  • Ability to adapt to changes, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage a complex sales process
  • Efficient qualifying, demonstrating, presenting, negotiating and closing skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Existing professional network in Technology or Consulting
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce platform and suite of products
  • Experience using Salesforce, Pardot, and G Suite
