Marketing Intern Summary

The Marketing Intern is responsible for mastering our link building process, link building part-time for various company properties, building searches and harvesting contact information for distribution to other team members, reporting on various performance metrics and assisting the team as necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To contact other website owners on behalf of our site
  • To create and develop emails that convey our lines of business and engage recipients
  • To communicate effectively and consistently via email to assist your success
  • To reach monthly/quarterly link goals
  • To create link building search phrases on a weekly basis
  • To harvest contact information on a weekly basis
  • To assist with reports via data collection and ultimately report generation
  • To provide support to the team as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ability to work up to 30 hours a week
  • Ability to communicate & work collaboratively
  • Ability to self-manage, drive initiatives & execute tasks to completion
  • Talent for prioritizing

Qualifications and Skills

  • Four-year degree completed (or in process) in Marketing or related field
  • A fundamental understanding of Internet search and an ability to learn more about it
  • Knowledge of Gmail and Google apps
  • Proven ability to work in Excel, MS Word
  • Willingness to take direction but also to find creative ways to improve on that direction – initiative
  • Time-management skills
  • A competitive drive and a desire to win
  • An ability to work, learn and share with peers
  • An ability to communicate with people on other teams
  • A sales-oriented personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills – must be detail oriented
