About This Role

Looking for an opportunity for hands-on experience in digital marketing? Then our internship may be for you! The internship runs for 4 months and pays $13.00 per hour. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience optimizing web content for search engines and assisting in the development of social media campaigns. This is a great opportunity to grow your digital marketing skillset while contributing to meaningful projects. 

The Digital Marketing Intern must be able to work up to 29 hours a week in our hybrid flexible workplace environment. For example, someone may have class in the morning on M-W-F, and in the late afternoon on T/TH. They could work around their class schedules as needed.

Day-to-Day

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush and Google Search Console.
  • Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking).
  • Help identify and fix technical SEO issues (broken links, redirects, crawl errors).
  • Assist in creating or updating content to align with SEO best practices.
  • Monitor rankings and traffic using analytics tools and compile simple reports.
  • Assist in measuring the effectiveness of specific SEO strategies by reporting from a variety of sources (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Majestic, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Draft and schedule social media posts for platforms like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook and Instagram.
  • Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, clicks) and compile simple reports.


Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic SEO concepts and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable working with tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with others – a team player.
